Founded: The Grand Palace was built in 1782 by King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great (Rama I) as a residence for the king and as the center of the country's administration.

Use: The Grand Palace is an important place for coronation ceremonies, religious and government ceremonies. Currently, the Grand Palace is not used as the permanent residence of the King, but is still used for various important ceremonies.
